(More customer reviews)If the Sealy 230tc is like the 350-360TC Sealy down alternative comforters it will be flat in physicality (none of the pretty puffery of real down), dull in fabric luster, heavy like 10lbs of lead on your legs (I just weighed my Full size one and that is what it weighs) and worst of all you'll be cold in a room lower than 55 degrees. Buy some other brand!

The actual padding is very nice and a lot thicker than most pads I've seen and also doesn't look like you picked it out of a dollar store (it has a quality look to it, 300 thread count, I believe).
Now, where this really shines is the part where it isn't padded (the fabric that goes on the side of the bed that you tuck in). Most pads have this weird filter-looking material that you can easily poke your finger through. This pad has a very nice quality material thats quite stretchy but very durable. This is a quality pad and I expect it will last me a long, long time.

(More customer reviews)I purchased this bedding set and the black set to mix and match. I have never had a down comforter and thought a down alternative,like the duvet in these sets, might be better. It isn't bad, but it isn't great, either. Since receiving these I bought a real down comforter on sale at a department store and the difference is amazing! Of course, so is the difference in price - even on sale - so I know to be fair I can't compare the two apples to apples. I just wanted to let folks who buy this set know that there are two issues about which they might like to be aware. First, the sheets, pillow cases, and shams become very weirdly wrinkled after they are washed and dried. It tends to smooth out, but the sheen you see in the photo is lost forever. Second, when I took the cover off of the duvet to wash it, the inside of the cover was filled with little white "pills" of fabric lint from the duvet, itself. It was quite a mess and took me a very long time to remove them. However, the bedding IS comfortable, so just be aware that the shiny new look doesn't stay new.

I was kind of just hoping for a cover that would keep feathers in and this really takes away from the softness and fluffiness of my down comforter. Not disappointed enough to return it, but can't really recommend it either.
